Hi PriorJMM. Does your new Slim console have a hard drive? If you choose to buy a hard drive, be sure that it is an official Microsoft one. Hard drives sold by private sellers on eBay and Amazon are generally fake units from China. Be aware that a hard drive is required to play original games, be they downloaded from LIVE or running from an original disc.
My Xbox slim is the gb model. Fable and Indigo Prophecy work as downloaded games. No XBOX games work if they are on discs. That and it is the one I want to play the most. Being on the list or not on the list does not change the message I get when I try to start one.
I'm having the same problem, I have a gb hard drive that I bought but its a legit hd. Everything works but my original xbox games, which are all on the list aswell. This thread is locked.
