Battle of the bugs game

Build a deck of 3 cards: a Bug, a Weapon, and Special Skill, then battle your opponent. You deal damage based on your Sword, Gun, and Bug stats. Ties deal 10 damage to each Bug. Reduce your opponent to 0 HP to win. Log in with itch. Pretty much you had some buggos that beat each other up rock paper scissors style.

Really love your game, good job. Why thank you! The demo doesn't really show it off, but this was actually my most ambitious GB Studio project for a while. Just outside that player's room is a full town to explore and collect cards in, but sadly the game is over the cartridge size limits, so it's on indefinite hiatus. Battlefield includes seven maps at launch.

The other maps — Manifest, Kaleidoscope, Orbital, and Renewal — are standard fare but still feature landscapes worth exploring. Unfortunately, Battlefield currently feels underbaked due to an abundance of bugs. While most bugs I encountered are minor, each one dilutes the fun I have when playing. While playing on PC, the game also hard crashed to my desktop once during a week spent playing the game.

These crashes left me especially disadvantaged in Hazard Zone. Battlefield is an easy recommendation for existing fans or players looking for a modern war game, but I struggle to fully endorse it due to its current lack of polish.
