Replacing these 2 database files will not uninstall your applications, nor does it require admin rights. I copied the two files and placed them in My Documents, then rearranged my start screen even unpinning a couple apps , and finally replaced the updated two files with the backed up ones from My Documents. However, my start screen layout is not reverting to the original version, I am left with my rearranged app layout that I used to test if this would work.
Am I missing something? Sorry, I should be more clear. I want to apply these files to a win 10 tablet but I want to keep the tile apps the way they are on my Surface RT which runs win.
