They might also decide to have the clues end with the letter that needs to be guessed, instead of starting with that letter. Let the kids get creative with this. A much easier variation of this game is that kids must "bring an item" that matches their own first name. So somebody with the name Matthew would bring "matches" and Ashley would bring "apples" and so forth. Another variation, is that kids need to move through the alphabet; so the first person to pick something has to start with "A," and the following has to bring something starting with "B," and so forth.

Add strips of thinly cut roll paper or crepe paper to simulate seaweed! One the white plate is very easy to do with slits cut opposite each other on the edge of the plate. The children then simply wrap the yarn or ribbon up and down the front and back of the plate.
Do this until all slits have yarn on them. The second way is a more traditional method of weaving paper. Fold the plate in half and cut a series of slits in the plate. Ribbon or yarn is then woven over and under or in and out the slits. The outer circle of this plate was painted before the weaving began. When the plates were complete, spray adhesive was very lightly applied and glitter sprinkled over the plate.
